The Smart Satellite is a small WiFi device that talks with a window AC, mini-split, or other remote-controlled device. We build tomorrow's plan every night and the Satellite executes it.
It talks to your window AC or mini-split the way the original remote does, over WiFi, and reaches the optimizer on its own. There is no thermostat to swap out and nothing else to install. You claim it, tell it which unit it is paired with, and it handles the timing from there.

Where the planning happens
The optimizer builds tomorrow's plan every night, using your utility's prices, the weather forecast and how your space actually heats and cools. The Satellite pulls that plan down and runs it on the device itself.

The Smart Satellite needs an electricity rate to optimize against, and which rates we cover depends on your utility or market, not your appliance. See the full list of supported rates and regions on the coverage page.
Where it is today
The firmware is built and tested, and the device is not on sale yet. There is no price and no order page. The beta list is the way in: everyone on it hears before we open it up, and we will tell you what it costs at the same time we tell you it is ready.
